The episode opens with Gojo discussing his plans for Marin’s cosplay outfit alongside his grandfather. The two carefully go over the steps they need to take, and during this time, Marin even shares a warm family dinner with them. The following day at school, Gojo works on the costume while Marin, inspired by the character she’ll portray, decides to prepare a bento for him. The lunch, spam paired with rice, mirrors the style of her cosplay role.

This gesture deepens the bond between them, especially when Gojo’s enthusiastic reaction leaves Marin blushing uncontrollably. In her thoughts, she can’t help but reflect on just how much she’s falling for him. The episode also sprinkles in lighter moments, such as Gojo beginning to interact more comfortably with Marin’s friends and finding it endearing when Marin clumsily attempts to sew a button for him, despite the less-than-perfect result.

As preparations continue, Marin takes her role seriously, adjusting her bust size, altering her walk, and refining her mannerisms to convincingly pass as a male character. Ever the perfectionist, Gojo notices a tiny flaw in his work and decides to fix it, even with the deadline fast approaching. Marin supports him wholeheartedly, trusting in his skills and showing just how much she values him.

Gojo advises her to embrace a more masculine demeanor, similar to how Amane adopted a feminine persona for his own cosplay. This sparks a new idea; he asks Morita to coach Marin on acting like him. The two then train together, focusing on everything from posture to subtle gestures, ensuring her portrayal is as authentic as possible.

The day has finally come when we get to see Marin as Ray-sama. The episode opens with Gojo and Marin being disappointed with the multicoloured rainbow rose that they tried to paint themselves. It did not turn out as they wanted, and now, they must use something else in place of that. That is when Seira comes to the rescue and she comes up with a very genius idea. She gets a white rose and uses food colouring and some test tubes to make the rose temporarily multicoloured.

On the day of the cultural festival, we get to see that Class 3 is doing far better than Marin’s class, and the only way their class can win is by the cosplay. Marin showcases her serious side by asserting that she will make sure to put everyone’s dream forward and win because Ray-sama would do the same. After that, Gojo also starts to use makeup on her, and at first, he becomes very conscious about others seeing him.

He becomes nervous about his abilities, but later realises how much he likes being good at what he does, and the fact that everyone is expecting him to do well is also reassuring. Thus, he finds confidence in himself and manages to do one of the best works he has ever done on Marin.

When she comes out, Marin looks exactly like Ray-sama, a beautiful, handsome guy. She looks overwhelmingly dazzling, which also impresses Gojo, who realises how much he has the same level of love and respect for Marin as for his creations. Needless to say, Marin’s performance was absolutely brilliant, and I just loved this episode for that.
