Love Take Two Episode 1 Recap

The episode opens with Hyo-ri and Ji-an getting the terrible diagnosis that she has a tumour, and it leaves them both heartbroken. We then see Ji-an at work, where her coworkers clearly love her charming personality and enthusiasm. However, things get a bit icy between the mother and daughter, as Hyo-ri doesn’t like the way Ji-an lives her life. And as if things couldn’t get any worse, Chief Hwang lets Ji-an know the next morning that he won’t be paying her back, leaving her to wonder about Hyo-ri’s tuition.

As if things couldn’t get any worse, the CEO screams at her as well. Hyo-ri is having an equally bad day at the hospital, but she’s in no mood to take her senior’s bullying and gives it to him straight, leaving everyone stunned. She then quits school in the ultimate boss move. When Ji-an learns of this turn of events, she is first left confused and then absolutely bewildered. Elsewhere, Hyo-ri is on the run and refuses to entertain her mother’s questions any longer.

At home, Ji-an and Sun-young come across their photos on social media and make their way to the village as well.

Love Take Two Episode 1: Park Hae-joon, Kim Min-kyu

Yeom Jung-ah and Choi Yun-ji make for an extremely believable duo in Love Take Two, with their bickering and difficult relationship, and how they will get over it as Hyo-ri’s illness progresses becomes the crux of the story. The first episode is quite enjoyable as it turns from humorous to very heartbreaking within a few scenes. I am excited to see the relationship between Park Hae-joon and Kim Min-kyu (whom I just finished watching in Bitch x Rich Season 2) and how they all come together to deliver something wholesome. Till now, this one’s sweet, and I loved the leads’ portrayal of their characters.
