Netflix will become the streaming home of the faith-based drama series Karen Kingsbury’s A Thousand Tomorrows, starring Colin Ford (Daybreak, We Bought a Zoo) and Rose Reid (Finding You), beginning at the beginning of September 2025 in the United States. It marks the first time a Pure Flix Original has been made available on Netflix.

Based on the bestselling novel by Karen Kingsbury, the series, filmed in Tulsa, Oklahoma, follows Cody Gunnar (Ford), a championship bull rider who lives for the thrill of the arena, and Ali Daniels (Reid), a barrel racer battling a life-threatening illness. As they fall in love, they must learn to balance the demands of competition, personal sacrifice, and faith in the face of impossible odds.

The cast also includes Anna Grace Barlow, Kate Easton, Tom Ohmer, and Craig Hensley. Produced by Affirm Originals and Sony Pictures Television, the series first premiered in 2023 on Pure Flix (also known as Great American Pure Flix) and was adapted for television by author Karen Kingsbury herself, alongside Tyler Russell.

For many viewers, this will be their first opportunity to watch A Thousand Tomorrows outside of its original platform. Its arrival on Netflix comes via Sony Pictures Television’s licensing deal, which Netflix has licensed many shows from in the past, including Outlander, and coming up next, Franklin & Bash.

All six episodes of Karen Kingsbury’s A Thousand Tomorrows arrive on Netflix for a multi-year licensing window beginning September 1st, 2025.

The show earned strong reviews from fans of the novel and faith-based drama enthusiasts alike. On IMDb, the series has a 7.8/10. One user wrote, ” It is a beautifully written love story about two young people on the rodeo circuit,” going on to add that the series “is well photographed and engaging.” The only caveat is that reviews are few and far between because of the limited reach of Pure Flix.

As mentioned, this will feel very much at home for anyone who has been enjoying Sullivan’s Crossing in the US (season 3 coming in August 2025) and other cozy drama favorites like Virgin River, Sweet Magnolias, or even Ransom Canyon, albeit with a slightly more faith slant. That faith slant is something Netflix has leaned in on in recent years, such as with its new Ruth & Boaz movie.
