A shapeshifting teenage girl named Nimona teams up with Ballister to clear his name, despite his reluctance to take help from the very kind of monster he was once sworn to hunt. Nimona’s shapeshifting abilities are used to great visual comic effect throughout the film, and the writing is hilarious, too.

Vivo’s journey takes him to Miami, where he must find Marta (voiced by the legendary Gloria Estefan) and play a love song Andrés’ wrote for her. The movie features a mini Guardians of the Galaxy reunion between Zoe Saldaña and Michael Rooker.


The Monkey King (2023)

When Kanna trips in front of a shrine and drops her mother’s bracelet, she learns that the jewelry is actually magical. With the help of her classroom’s pet rabbit Shiro — who can suddenly talk! — and a speedy demon boy named Yasha, Kanna sets out to collect offerings for the yearly gathering of the gods, learning more about her mother along the way.

The step-siblings wind up on the moon where they meet Chang’e, who’s more demanding than the kids expected. Over the Moon‘s impressive voice cast also features John Cho and Sandra Oh, plus music by Gravity composer Steven Price.

When Grandpa dies, Keegan finds that the tales he heard were more than just myths. Keegan and a Spanish girl named Moya discover a herd of mystical Megaloceros Giganteus (Irish elk), uncovering the connections between dancing, nature, and life itself.
