I SPENT a few hours with JoJo Siwa when she came into The Sun HQ for an interview, and I got to see first-hand how deeply she’s fallen for Chris Hughes.
The former child star, 22, sat down with me for an on-camera chat about her new single and upcoming UK tour, but within minutes, she happily brought up former Love Island star Chris, her face lighting up as she spoke about the intimate details of their relationship.

I have zero issue in admitting, I, like most of the nation, was baffled at first when Chris and JoJo got together.
Though after meeting her in person and speaking to her both on and off camera about her new life and man, there is little doubt in my mind it’s the real deal.
During our interview, I decided to cheekily push my luck and bring up a recent interview that Chris did in America, in which he revealed JoJo named his crown jewels Jimmy and Timmy.
Nonplussed, JoJo laughed: “Yeah, that’s his balls. That’s like, that’s old, we never even call him Jimmy and Timmy anymore. That’s like old school. We’ve grown out of that.”
Our chat then somehow moves onto how she can’t get enough of kissing her man – insisting she’s never had stubble rash from kissing him as he is “perfectly groomed”.
Her mouth broke into a grin as JoJo told me excitedly: “He is perfectly groomed. That beard is trimmed perfectly every six days by a groomer, by a barber.
“It’s funny, I was just thinking about this the other day. I love the feeling of his face. That little beard patch.
“Like one day if he’s ever like, ‘I’m gonna go clean shaven’, I’d be fine with it, of course, obviously, anything he wants to do, but I love, love the feeling on his facial hair. It’s like, it’s just scruffy.”
She went on to admit she’s made a cute deal that once she beats him at tennis, she can have a go at trimming it.
An avid tennis player, Chris clearly thinks he’s made a safe bet. But JoJo tells me she’s already taken up tennis lessons to change that.
JoJo told me: “Does he let me trim it? Oh dear God, maybe for when he’s in the grave, I can do it. Maybe he’s like in his casket.
“We actually do have a deal, if I ever beat him fair and square at a game of tennis, I get to cut his hair and trim his beard.
“I have to do it good, like I won’t do it bad. He did let me do a little bit on the back of his head to even it out the other day. He’s particular about it, honestly, I don’t need to mess it up.”
On paper, it shouldn’t work. Prior to them entering the CBB house, no one would have ever thought they could work as a couple.
Indeed, when JoJo and Chris met, she was dating Australian content creator Kath Ebs.

Though I challenge anyone to chat to JoJo for even just ten minutes and come away not thinking that her relationship is real.
In the past, JoJo’s relationships have been intense and short – not that I am judging for a second – but her relationship with Chris already seems to be outlasting the previous one.
She’s even thinking about how they will spend Christmas and Thanksgiving together.

‘Go the distance’
JoJo tells me she hopes to see in December 25th with Chris in the UK, which will be the first time she’s ever spent Christmas away from her own family.
Jojo told me: “We’ll be together on Halloween, but we won’t be in either his or my place, but we will be together.
“We’ll have fun. We’ll watch a scary movie or something.
“My family is super chill. My family doesn’t mind if we do Christmas Day. They just like to have a Christmas celebration.
“And so I think what we’ll do is we’ll end up having a Christmas celebration with my family and then maybe spend Christmas Day with his family.”
“I’ve never had a Christmas away from my family. But since we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving over here, he can come do Thanksgiving with us.”
After our on camera chat we both made polite small talk… and once again JoJo excitedly brought up Chris.
As she’d only been in the UK for a matter of hours she was yet to see him on her trip but after a day of press rather than checking into a hotel she was going straight to his.
She’s clearly madly in love, I just really hope she proves the doubters wrong and they go the distance.

JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs’ relationship
We look back at JoJo Siwa’s romance with Kath Ebbs:
JoJo Siwa went public with hers and Kath Ebbs’ relationship in January 2025.
The Dance Moms star had been introduced to 27-year-old Australian content creator Kath by a mutual friend called G-Flip six months earlier.
JoJo had split with her girlfriend Dakayla Wilson in November 2024 and it is believed she hooked up romantically with Kath soon after.
Speaking in March at the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, JoJo said of her relationship: “I am so happy. I am in a very mature relationship, and it’s beautiful. It’s taught me so much about life.
“It’s taught me so much about love and respect, and it’s a beautiful thing.
“It’s different in more ways than I can count. I wouldn’t even know what to say the biggest is ‘cause just everything is so different and special.”
Kath even claimed they had talked about marriage together.
However, JoJo’s romance with Kath abruptly hit the skids on April 25, 2025, at the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party.
JoJo dumped Kath at the bash after spending 19 days in the CBB house – where she had grown close to Love Island star Chris Hughes.
